Overall Growth is the Motto

The “Learning” is not limited to indoor classrooms it is extended to the horizon of the universe. Keeping this in mind Shanti Niketan Vidyapeeth creates opprtunity to all the students to enhance their knowledge. Many visits and field trips are organised for this purpose older students seek information for their various projects of different subjects. These filed trip are like a booster to meet their needs. The young ones visit the local institutions and areas of interest and will provide similar opportunities on a smaller scale, whatever the age of the students or the scope of the project the opportunities to look beyond the classrooms will enhance the students perception.

Educational tours typically take place at least once in a year. Detailed preparations are made for them and choice of venue is made keeping in mind the learning objectives of the topic of study. Students are prepared in advance for these tours with a lecture and other audio visual aids hilightning important features of the venue. The students keep record of all the details of these tours in their impresions. They are assessed on the basis of their presentations of all that they have learnt. Thus every educational tour comes across as a through and in depth learning experience for student.

Events and Celebrations

As part of our efforts to inculcate in students the appreciation of and respect for India’s rich heritage and diversity and also to re-inforce in their national pride and respect for all, the school celebrates a number of functions and festivals including Holi, Easter, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, Dusshera, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Teachers Day, Grand Parents Day, Mothers Day, Republic Day etc.

Assemblies are an integral part of the school. Students sing school song, prayers and National Anthem in the assembly, watch a short presentation by one class. Throughout the year each class presents a programme on stage with theme being either the festival or any thought provoking idea that can lead itself to Drama, Dance or Music./p>
