Learning Methodology

In keeping with Shanti Niketan Vidyapeeth's promise of comprehensive and holistic education through a developmental approach, modern methodologies are employed to enable learning.

These methodologies are a departure from the traditional rote learning that is imparted in most schools. While the syllabus for each grade is structured, teachers have the autonomy and flexibility to design the curriculum. The Curriculum Coordinator assists and supports teachers in the choice of materials and methodology. It is also the former's responsibility to shape and integrate online-offline learning, as well as the formal and informal curriculum.

Remedial Teaching Programme

We know the importance of Remedial Teaching Programme where we diagnose the learning difficulties and then take corrective measures through a carefully planned “Remedial Teaching Programme” and “Personalised Learning through Assessments Material and study plans for each child.

- Diagnostic Survey is conducted and Diagnostic reports are made.
- Smart Study Plans and worksheets for self study are made.

Resource Centre

Among thousands of parents, students and teachers all over city, the name SHANTI NIKETAN VIDYAPEETH is no just well known, but acknowledged as a landmark on the road to higher education. Started over 5 year ago in Meerut, SNVP set itself apart almost immediately as an organization with commitment. Right from day one, SNVP stood for excellence, sincerity and an unswerving dedication to the needs of the students. Inspired by the enthusiastic response to the class XIth admission, SNVP resolved to make the same support available to thousands of IIT, CPMT & NDA aspirants, all over India. After some intensive research, SNVP has established resource centre, students that could prepare for IIT-JEE, AIPMT, NDA, AIEEE & PMT.

The most important aspect of resource centre is the faculty. The strength of our faculty members is in their unique IIT-JEE, NDA & PMT focused subject knowledge, years of experience that helps that sense the tumultuous state of mind of IIT, NDA or PMT aspirants. Motivational skills that inspire students to do that extra bit which is the hallmark of a topper and a caring attitude that goes beyond success in an entrance examination.

Students often encounter doubt regarding theory or problems of the study package to get these doubts cleared they often seek out their respective faculty members, who might be occupied in a class and may not be immediately accessible. As a solution to this problem, SNVP has pioneered the concept of SDCC, where five faculty members for different subjects are available during the working hours of the school on all working days for clearing doubts students, without seeking any prior appointment, can take the help of this cell on days and at times convenient to them.

Medical Room

A healthy mind in a healthy body. Keeping the motto, SNVP takes good care of complete health of our students. We provide good and proper facilities. There is a well equipped medical room. Very skilled professionals are in attendance all the time to ensure all emergencies are attented to utmost care and attention.

Bits & Bytes Shanti Niketan Vidyapeeth

Well equipped state-of-the-art computer Laboratories are there in the school. A team of competent teachers train the students in the latest software and guide the students in the latest Computing skills. The systems are all Pentium with attached speakers and CD-Drive. Separate software and setup is used in the Lab to facilitate easy-learning and introduce computers to the tiny-tots.

Smart Class / I.T.

SNVP, is not only an educational place but a house full of technologies, which are used in each and every field of education. Smart class is a technology oriented electronic learning that has an ability and speciality. Today’s generation is more techno savvy and smart class makes learning simple and retention higher. Through Smart Class, learning becomes interesting. Smart class is the best way to synchronize the study of Content material with visuals, Colours, music and movement.

SN’s are techno savvy, they all love to operate work with Computer right from class Nursery to higher grades. All the students are familiar with Computer, Shanti Niketan (SNVP) is having a well equipped computer lab in which students use not only desktops but laptops also. Students know how to create animations, presentations, movies and many more. They are using many graphical and multimedia software like Corel draw, Photoshop, Flash to make their professional base strong. In SNVP, not only students but teachers are also techno savvy. We are using smart classes to teach the students which is well equipped with Plasma T.V. and Interactive boards. Teachers are also using a fully automated software for making report cards, giving remarks to the students etc. SNVP students are also learning how to make the Robots and programme them.

Library

Information is the heartbeat of meaningful learning in Schools. The explosion of new information resources has created a demand for a new set of information-seeking skills among educators and students. To help students benefit from the power of information, a well furnished library and information services are essential to a learning program that values the cultural, social, technological and spiritual development of students. The development of information services and their dynamic role in learning requires the highest quality co-operative and responsive support, quality space, functional facilities, resources and technology.

The role of SNVP Library and its information services in the development of student's information and removing critical illiteracies. The library has a computerized environment with a collection of 10,000 print and non-print resources displayed in a very user-friendly manner. The Library also provides access and guidance to the internet for research and study.

Cafeteria

The SNVP promises good canteen service at the campus. It makes sure that the canteen is clean and places a high importance on hygiene. The food and snacks served to the students are well balanced and nutritious, promoting health awareness rather than promotion of junk food consumption. The break for recess are staggered so that at one point there are only a limited number of students at the canteen.
